Critical analysis of medical
literature — We know the principles of evidence-based medicine. We are
aware of the need for fair balance when writing or editing monographs,
review articles, journal supplements, abstracts/posters, newsletters, slide
sets, Web content, and other materials for health professionals and the
public.

Internet research — We do information gathering for pharmaceutical
companies to help them position and market their products.

Development of continuing education
enduring materials — Faith is a certified trainer and applies the
principles of adult learning in developing educational materials for
clinicians.
She’s familiar with ACCME, FDA, OIG, and PhRMA guidelines.

Meeting coverage — We both have
the reporting and analytical skills required to write reports on advisory board meetings, symposia
reports, journal articles based on grand rounds, and fax newsletters sent
from medical conferences.

Editing of medical journal articles
and supplements — We do substantive editing (improving clarity,
conciseness, consistency, organization, and pertinence to the intended
audience) and copy editing (correcting errors in grammar, usage, spelling,
and punctuation). As needed, we create tables, select figures and write
legends, write abstracts, assign key words, and create stylesheets. We use
EndNote and RefMan for flexibility in managing and formatting references, and
we are familiar with many professional writing styles, including AMA style.
